Flames destroy a portion of apartment complex


VERSAILLES, Ky. (WTVQ)  – Firefighters responded to a call for a fire at an apartment complex around 2:30 p.m. Saturday.

The fire happened near High Street and Binary Avenue in Versailles.

It took fire crews several hours to get out the fire and hot spots.

Officials say the worst of the fire was on the left side and there were eight apartments.

The Red Cross was on scene and is helping families at a local church.

Firefighters say the cause is unknown.
