State Unemployment Data releases unemployment rate


FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Jobless rates fell in 55 counties over the last year but rose in 51, according to the State Unemployment Data.

They say the counties with the highest unemployment rates were Magoffin at 12.4 percent, Lewis at 9.3 percent and Carter at 9.1 percent.

According to officials Woodford County has the lowest unemployment rate at 3.4 percent.

Boone, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer Counties were at 3.8 percent and Fayette was at 3.9 percent.
