FAYETTE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Fayette County Public Schools sent two high school students to the 2019 Governor’s School for Entrepreneurs this year.
School officials say rising senior Will Hands of Lafayette and junior Khalid Rashad of Paul Laurence Dunbar attended.
They joined nearly 70 other teenagers in a transformative three-week program featuring visits to 15 startups and businesses across the state.
There were 40 guest entrepreneurs and speakers, and 240+ hours learning and synthesizing.
GSE immerses teens in a creative space and gives them the tools to unleash their entrepreneurial spirit.
