HARLAN, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was arrested Wednesday afternoon at the end of a police chase that went through two counties following a hit-and-run collision, according to Whitesburg Police.
Investigators say the suspect, whose name wasn’t released, collided with a vehicle in Harlan and drove-off.
Officers from the Whitesburg Police Department, Letcher County Sheriff’s Office and Kentucky State Police joined a pursuit with Harlan Police and Cumberland Police.
The chase went through downtown Whitesburg. Spike strips were deployed on two separate occasions during the chase, according to police.
The chase finally ended two miles into Harlan County on Highway 119 at which time the suspect was arrested and taken to jail, according to police.
