BELL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Bell County business owner already in jail on attempted murder charges, is accused of using his businesses as fronts for illegal gambling and drug trafficking.
Kentucky State Police say detectives with Appalachia Narcotics Investigations charged George Fisher with promoting gambling, trafficking in a controlled substance and engaging in organized crime.
Police say the charges come after a lengthy investigation by Appalachia Narcotics Investigations.
According to investigators, Fisher set up and operated gambling machines, sold drugs, and collaborated with other people to promote and engage in gambling and drug trafficking.
More arrests are expected in the case.
Fisher was booked into the Bell County Detention Center last month on two counts of attempted murder.
