BRUIN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a man is facing murder charges in connection to a deadly crash last year in Elliott County.
The crash happened on Kentucky 7 on May 19, 2018 in the Bruin community.
Kentucky State Police say 23-year-old Chad Sansom crossed the center line and hit a car being driven by 50-year-old Marsha Harper.
Harper was pronounced dead at the scene.
Sansom was flown to a hospital in West Virginia for treatment.
According to police, Sansom was believed to be under the influence at the time of the crash.
He was indicted by a grand jury for murder.
Police say he was arrested Friday and booked into the Carter County Detention Center.
