Kentucky State Police has released the names of two people found shot to death Wednesday.
Police say the bodies of 56-year-old Debbie Foss and 55-year-old Ronald Frazier, both of Cowan, were discovered after a trooper went to do a welfare check after 911 received a hang-up call from the home.
Investigators say the Foss and Frazier were reportedly in a long-term relationship.
Police say they are awaiting autopsy results to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
LETCHER COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A disconnected call sends Kentucky State Police to a Letcher County home where they say they found the bodies of two people.
State police say dispatch received a 911 call around 11:21 a.m. Wednesday, then the phone went dead.
They say no one answered when dispatchers called back.
A trooper went to the home on KY 913 in the Cowan community to investigate and discovered the bodies of a man and woman.
According to police, both had apparent gunshot wounds.
Police did not release any more details, but do say they are not looking for suspects and there is no threat to the public.
The bodies are being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office in Frankfort for autopsies.
The names of the victims are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
