GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) – Heavy rain over the weekend is believed to be a factor in an accident in Georgetown that left a man and woman critically injured.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says deputies were called to I-75 near mile marker 141 about a two-vehicle crash around 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
According to the sheriff, deputies arrived to find a man on the side of the road, unresponsive and suffering from several injuries, and a woman trapped in a car.
The car was hit by a pickup truck, according to deputies.
The man, woman and the driver of the pickup were all taken to the hospital.
The sheriff says weather, slippery roads, and limited visibility are believed to be factors in the accident.
