MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Temporary road closures are scheduled next Tuesday and Wednesday in Rowan County, according to the state.
Beginning at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 18, contractors are scheduled to close US 60 near Lakeside Christian Academy to trench across the road and install a new drainage system. The road is expected to be closed to all traffic for at least 12-hours, according to the state.
During the closure, motorists can detour by using KY 180, I-64 and KY 32 through Morehead, or other routes.
Beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, contractors will close KY 32 (Christy Creek Road) just east of Seas Branch Road, to trench across the highway and install a new aluminum box culvert.
The road will remain closed between Seas Branch and Veterans Lane throughout the day until the work is complete.
During the KY 32 closure, motorists can detour using KY 3318 (Open Fork), US 60 and KY 174 through Hays Crossing.
