Fayette County school bus involved in accident


LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police are investigating an accident involving a Fayette County Public School bus.

The accident happened on West New Circle and North Limestone around 6:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Lexington police say a driver was traveling down Old Paris Pike and tried to make a right turn on a red light and hit another car that was going down New Circle Road. Police say that caused the car to hit the school bus.

According to Fayette County Public Schools, one student was on board the bus at the time. The bus was heading to Henry Clay High School.

Officials say no one on board the bus was injured.

There is no word on the driver of the car that collided with the school bus.
