SCOTT COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A man was critically injured after a crash leaves a tool embedded in his skull.
The Scott County Sheriff’s Office says the man went off the roadway and flipped his car several times on Interstate 64 eastbound at the 69-mile marker around 5:20 p.m. Thursday.
The sheriff’s office says the man was thrown from his car.
During the crash, deputies say it appears tools from an unsecured bag in the car became loose and one penetrated the back of his skull.
They do not believe the man was wearing his seat belt.
He was taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center where he was last listed in critical but stable condition.
