NICHOLAS COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Kentucky Department of Highways District 9 crews will temporarily close part of KY 36 near Carlisle in Nicholas County again Wednesday to replace a drainage pipe underneath the roadway.
The department says that on Wednesday, April 17, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., crews will close KY 36 at the 5.7 milepoint which is about a mile and a half east of Carlisle at Scrubgrass Road and a mile west of Whetstone Road.
Only local traffic will be permitted past Whetstone and Scrubgrass roads. No detour will be posted, but traffic may use KY 1285 and KY 57 to reroute.
Road work schedules are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
Motorists are asked to heed all warning signs, slow down in work zones and remain aware of workers and construction equipment when traveling.
