ANDERSON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police have announced the arrests of two more people in connection to a robbery and shooting that left a pregnant woman dead.
State police say 20-year-old Robert J. Jones and 19-year-old Austin Chilton, both of Frankfort, were taken into custody late Wednesday night and charged with robbery.
Two other suspects, 33-year-old Derrick Morris and 20-year-old Jonathan Harley, were arrested earlier this week. Harley is charged with robbery. Morris is charged with murder and robbery.
Police were called to a home on Saffell Street on April 9 about a possible home invasion.
Police found 22-year-old Lauryn Kinne, who was in her third trimester of pregnancy, suffering from a gunshot to the chest.
She and her unborn baby were pronounced dead at the hospital.
Kinne’s boyfriend, Joseph Luttrell, was also taken to the hospital to be treated for a gunshot wound.
According to court documents, Harley went to the home, claiming he wanted to buy marijuana and ecstasy.
Shortly after Harley’s arrival, Luttrell told investigators two masked men came into the house, demanding valuables.
Documents say one of the men, later identified as Morris, repeatedly hit Luttrell with a gun and the gun went off.
Kinne and Luttrell were both hit.
Documents do not indicate how Jones and Chilton were involved.
Morris, Harley, Jones and Chilton appeared in court Thursday, where all four pleaded not guilty.
During the hearing, prosecutors revealed the gun used during the assault was found Wednesday night.
Prosecutors also say more charges are expected to be filed in the case.
The judge set the bond at $100,000 each for Harley, Jones and Chilton.
Morris’ bond was set at $250,000.
If Morris does post bond, the judge says he will have to wear a GPS monitor.
All four suspects are expected back in court on April 18 in Anderson County.
