PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A passenger involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Pulaski County had to be airlifted to the hospital Wednesday morning.
The accident happened around 7:46 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 452 and North Highway 27 in Eubank.
The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office says 69-year-old Gilbert Whitis was driving southbound on Highway 27 and tried to turn onto Highway 452 but did not see an oncoming pickup truck.
The truck hit Whitis’ car on the passenger side.
The sheriff says a passenger in the car, Velva Whitis, suffered life-threatening injuries and was flown from the scene to the University of Kentucky hospital.
Gilbert Whitis was taken by ambulance to Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital for treatment.
