LONDON, Ky. (WTVQ)- According to a Facebook post from the Daniel Boone National Forest, due to the flood damage at Bee Rock Campground, management does not anticipate the campground opening until the spring of 2020.
Most of the campground is covered in several inches of sediment. There is extensive road damage including culverts and ditches. The employees won’t know specific site damage until the debris and sediment is removed.
The campsite appreciates all of the offers from those wishing to volunteer to assist with the cleanup efforts! Once it is safe to reenter the campground, they will organize some volunteer events. They will continue to keep the public updated on Facebook as progress continues.
