HARRISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The coroner has identified the man who’s body was pulled from the South Fork of Licking River.
The coroner identified the man as 39-year-old Kelly Hudgins.
Hudgins went missing in November of 2018.
According to the coroner, a man was fishing in the river when he spotted the body.
Investigators used dental records to identify Hudgins.
The cause of death is still under investigation.
CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WTVQ)- There is still not an identification on the body that was found by a fisherman in the Licking River Wednesday afternoon.
The Cynthiana Democrat newspaper says the body was found face down, under debris.
the body was sent off to the state coroner’s office, where they say it may take up to a week to get a positive identification on the body.
Chief of the Harrison County Search and Rescue says Kelly Hudgins is the only missing person in Harrison County at the moment. She says his father offered dental records to help with the identification of the body.
Hudgins was reported missing on November 13, 2018 and was last seen walking on Water Works Road.
CYNTHIANA, Ky. (WTVQ)- The Cynthiana Democrat says fisherman discovered a decomposing body on an island in the South Fork of the Licking River Wednesday.
The fisherman says he found the body between 10:30 and 11 a.m.
Crews have removed the body. An identification has not been made.
