Georgetown College wins third national championship


KANSAS CITY, MO (WTVQ)- Georgetown College has won the NAIA National Championship in Kansas City, Missouri.

The Tigers beat Carroll 68-46.

It is the 7th national title game the team has played.

The Tigers were also national champions in 1998 and 2013. They last played for the title in 2016.

Fans eagerly watched the game all across Kentucky. People gathered at bars in Louisville, Lexington, and Georgetown to catch the action.
