LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department announced Wednesday that a second suspect is in custody in connection to a shooting last month that left a woman dead.
Police say 28-year-old James Ragland II was arrested in Detroit Tuesday by the U.S. Marshal Service and local authorities.
He is wanted for the murder of Iesha Edwards.
Edwards was shot outside the Fox Club on Winchester Road on January 26.
Investigators say a fight broke out at the nightclub and Ragland fired several shots, hitting Edwards.
Another suspect in the case, 29-year-old Gaige Phillips, was arrested late last month in Detroit for criminal facilitation to commit murder.
Investigators say he helped Ragland escape.
There is no word yet on when Ragland will be extradited back to Kentucky.
