LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – An accident in Lexington sends four people to the hospital.
Lexington police say they received a call at 7:15 a.m. about a head-on collision crash at the intersection of Alumni Drive and New Circle Road.
Police say a woman was driving when she slid on a patch of ice and hit a mini-van with one adult and two children inside.
Police say the woman was taken to the University of Kentucky hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The adult and two children inside the mini-van suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital, according to police.
Police blocked off Alumni Drive and New Circle Road as crews worked to clear the accident.
