MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – The jailer for the Madison County Detention Center says three inmates were taken to the hospital after they overdosed this week.
Steve Tussey says three women were brought to the jail on Wednesday.
He says a few hours later, while in the intake area, the women became unconscious.
The jail staff called 911.
Tussey says the jail staff performed CPR on two of the women and revived them.
Paramedics administered NARCAN to the third.
All three were taken to the hospital and later released.
Tussey says the women are back in jail
No additional charges have been filed against them.
He says the investigation is continuing.
