Flags lowering in KY for Rep. John David Dingell, Jr.


FRANKFORT, Ky. (WTVQ) – Flags will be lowered at half staff in Kentucky in honor of former Representative John David Dingell, Jr.

The state says, in accordance with the proclamation by President Donald J. Trump, both American and state flags at public office buildings will be lowered to half-staff beginning immediately until sunset on February 9 to honor Dingell.

Dingell, who is from Michigan, is the longest serving member of Congress in U.S. history.

All individuals, businesses, organizations, and government agencies are being encouraged to join in the tribute of lowering the flag in his honor.
