STANFORD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Investigators are still looking for the driver of an SUV who they say ran over a man who was thrown from his vehicle in a crash last week.
Investigators say 40-year old Trampus Jennings ran a stop sign and collided with a tractor-trailer at the intersection of KY 328 and U.S. 27 in Lincoln County February 1.
Police say Jennings was thrown from his vehicle onto the road and was run over by an SUV that didn’t stop.
The coroner says investigators are still trying to determine if Jennings was killed in the collision with the tractor-trailer or after getting run over by the SUV. Jennings was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in Jennings’ vehicle was taken to UK Hospital in Lexington.
