LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – It’s lights, camera, action in Lexington.
A Lexington media company has a major deal to produce a movie starring Drew Barrymore.
“This is a great springboard to show the rest of the country what we can do here in Lexington,” said Misdee Wrigley Miller, owner of the Wrigley Media Group.
CEO Jayne Hancock says the company and the area helped sell Barrymore’s production company, Flower Films.
“With the beauty of the Bluegrass, and the beauty of downtown Lexington and Versailles, it was an easy decision from that point on,” said Hancock.
The Wrigley Media Group studio has plenty of equipment, including lights, cameras, green screens and even drones.
The company believes this isn’t just a great opportunity to put the Kentucky film industry on the map, but also also to impress the audience on what makes the Bluegrass special.
“We have the talent, the creative talent to stand up against any place in the nation to create content. Whether is be from a feature film such as this, or a television series,” says Wrigley Miller.
Filming is scheduled in Lexington and Versailles at the end of the month.
