One dog is still missing.

The shelter says someone called 911 after seeing a car speed toward them, possibly leaving the dogs behind out on the road.

“Trooper” was taken to the veterinarian right away. The shelter says he might not survive.

Staff members are hoping someone will recognize the dogs and know who they belong to.
