The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet reports there is a rockfall on KY 114 on the Salyersville side of the overnight trucking facility or mile marker 5.

The Middle Creek Volunteer Fire Department is directing traffic at this time.

Fire Chief James Billiter says traffic is, “limited to one lane driving on the shoulder of the road.”

D12’s Allen Maintenance crew is headed to the scene to assess the situation.

Chief Billiter says his firefighters moved enough rock out of the way to open the shoulder for limited traffic flow.

Chef Billiter says they may have to close the road in order to do the necessary cleanup.

Billiter says Todd Harris, the Allen Maintenance Superintendent, will assess the situation to determine if the hillside is stable.
