Drug investigation nets four arrests in Laurel County

Laurel Co. Sheriff Dept. K9 'Gotcha' assists with drug bust

LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – Four individuals were arrested in Laurel County on drug charges Monday night.

Laurel County Sheriff John Root says the arrests took place approximately six miles west of London, following a drug investigation conducted by the sheriff’s office.

Sheriff Root says a search warrant was executed around 8:30 p.m. at a house off West Laurel Road.

Four individuals were located at the residence along with methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and a large sum of money.

Social services was called to the scene after a 13-year-old male juvenile was found residing there.



The resident of the home, 50-year-old Lena Venise Cornett, was charged with trafficking in a controlled substance first-degree, first offense methamphetamine and endangering the welfare of a minor.

30-year-old Natosha Inman of Somerset was charged with possession of a controlled substance first-degree and first offense methamphetamine.

45-year-old Joe Ann Tipton of Keavy was charged with possession of a controlled substance first-degree and first offense methamphetamine.

30-year-old Benjamin David Wilson of Keavy was charged with possession of a controlled substance first-degree, first offense methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

All four individuals were booked in the Laurel County detention center.
