LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – With winter weather approaching, the city of Lexington is getting ready.
The city says they have salt trucks ready to go. They’re expecting anywhere between one to three inches of snow.
“I’m looking for a white Christmas in a way,” says Lexington resident James Murphy.
City crews day they are fully staffed for winter weather. They want drivers to be as safe as possible.
“If you encounter any snow plows, give them a wide birth, let them work, get the salt down and just slow your speed down about 10 miles an hour off the posted speed limit is a good rule of thumb,” says Rob Allen, Director of Street & Roads for the city of Lexington.
