ESTILL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- There is a fundraiser in memory of Hunter, the Estill County Service and Search dog found shot to death Monday.
Police have charged an Irvine man with shooting and killing the dog.
The 18-month old Bloodhound was the main search and rescue animal for the Estill County Rescue Squad.
The squad is now selling shirts in Hunter’s memory.
The money will go toward training, certification and equipment for a new search dog, which can cost around $10,000 dollars.
There is also a GoFund Me page that has been set up to raise money for Hunter’s replacement.
