PULASKI COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)-According to The Commonwealth Journal, a 15-year-old boy was arrested Thursday after reportedly bringing an unloaded handgun to Pulaski County High School.
The newspaper says no injuries took place, and there was no immediate threat nor any threats made to students or staff, according to Pulaski County Superintendent Pat Richardson.
The student resource officer and a school administrator made contact with the student between 2 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. The weapon was not loaded at the time it was found.
Richardson says that the district conducted a One Call to inform parents of PCHS students of the incident.
No changes are to be made to Friday’s schedule because there have been no threats made, according to Richardson.
The juvenile was escorted from school property by the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office. He was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Possession of a Weapon on School Grounds. He was transferred to the Adair County Juvenile Detention Center in Columbia.
