ORLANDO, FL  (WTVQ) – Kentucky senior tight end C.J. Conrad is looking forward to playing in the VRBO Citrus Bowl against Penn State New Year’s Day after being forced to sit out last year’s bowl game against Northwestern with an injury.

“Not playing last year sucked even though I did everything with the guys.  Just knowing that you’re not playing, you just know that the whole time and it kind of sucks a little bit.  So, just knowing that I have a game ahead of me, last game for college, I’m really looking forward to it,” Conrad said.

He added that it’s a weird feeling knowing this is his last college game with his Kentucky teammates.

“It has been a joy.  We’re having a really good time.  Coach Stoops has done a really good job of making this bowl a lot of fun.  When we’re on the practice field it’s very serious, but we’re having a lot of fun in Orlando when we have free time.  So far, it has been an amazing experience,” said Conrad.
