UPDATE: Victims identified in deadly crash in Lawrence Co.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ)- We now know the identities of the three people killed, including a child, in a wreck on US 23.

State Police say 49-year-old Edwina Wilson, 66-year-old Brenda Charles, and a 12-year-old girl were killed after being hit by a semi.

KSP says Edwina Wilson was driving a Kia Soul, when she had slowed down to make a left turn and was rear ended by a semi being driven by Randall Boggs.

 Troopers say all passengers were wearing seat belts. At this time no criminal charges have been filed, and alcohol is not a suspected contributor.

LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) – A fatal crash has shut down part of a highway in Lawrence County.

According to Lawrence County Emergency Management, the crash happened on US 23 in front of the Big Sandy Power Plant Monday afternoon.

Officials say the crash has shut down US 23 in both directions.

Drivers are being told to expect long delays if they take US 52 as a detour.
