Two people hurt after Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ)- Police say a man and a woman will survive after someone shot them Saturday morning.

According to officers, some people near Nikel’s Food Mart on Paris Pike heard gunshots just before 5:45 p.m.

Police found the two victims and took them to UK where one went into surgery.

Both of them were conscious and speaking to police when officers arrived.

Police say they don’t have a lot of information on who fired the shots.
