2012 Leaf Collection To Begin

The Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Streets and Roads has announced plans for the 2012 leaf collection program.

The program will begin on Monday, Nov. 26, and will continue through Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. Residents will receive a single pick-up if they normally receive normal trash pick-up by the city.

For more information on when the collection crew will be in your neighborhood you can visit www.lexingtonky.gov/leaves for a complete listing of streets and when those areas will be serviced. Residents can also call LexCall at 311 or 425-2255.

The city asks that you remove all twigs and rocks so the leaf equipment does not get damaged. People can also use their Lenny yard waste container or 30-gallon paper yard waste bags. The Lenny cart and the yard waste bags will be picked-up on the regularly scheduled pick-up day.
