2 workers die in incident at NKy. sanitation facility

BROMLEY, Ky. (WTVQ) — Two people have died after an incident at a Northern Kentucky sanitation facility on Thursday afternoon.

According to ABC affiliate WCPO, the incident happened in Bromley at the SD1 site on Steve Tanner Street around noon.

Parks Hill police responded to that site for a reported drowning.

A preliminary investigation found three employees were working on a project when “some kind of failure” occurred, entrapping them, WCPO said.

Two employees died in the incident. Their bodies were recovered; one around 6 p.m. and one by midnight.

The third employee was accounted for and taken to a nearby hospital by family members.

WCPO said the identities of the two employees who died are Mason Neises, 23, of Alexandria, Ky.; and Josh Mason, 26, of Moscow, Ohio.

The victims were employed by Building Crafts, Inc. according to Park Hill police.

“Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family, workers, emergency response personnel, and all involved in this tragedy,” police wrote on Facebook.
