2 killed in Carroll Co. crash

CARROLL CO. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say two people were killed and another seriously injured early Wednesday morning after a single car collision on I-71 in Carroll Co.

Troopers say they got a call just before 2:00 a.m. about the crash near mile marker 39.  According to officers, 21-year-old Rebecca Horsley, of Columbus, Ohio, was driving when her vehicle went off the right side of the road and overturned.  19-year-old Ashton Hepburn, of New Carlisle, Ohio, and 29-year-old Nikki Vicory, of Lakeview, Ohio, were thrown from the vehicle.  Investigators say neither of the passengers were wearing seatbelts.

According to police, Horsley was taken from the scene to Carroll Co. Hospital before being airlifted to University of Cincinnati Hospital.

The Carroll Co. Coroner declared Hepburn and Vicory dead at the scene.
