2 fundraisers to benefit Mackey family

NICHOLASVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) – Two fundraisers benefiting the Mackey family have been scheduled for the rest of the week.

Paramedic John Mackey died November 10th after being hit by a car while checking his ambulance for damage.

The first fundraiser, on Wednesday, will be at the Culver’s in Nicholasville.  the restaurant will be donating 20% of its sales to the Mackey family.  That fundraiser will be running from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.  The restaurant is located at 951 N. Main Street.

Then, on Friday, there will be a benefit clogging dance.  The event will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. at the blue City/County Park Building.  Organizers will be having dancing, a silent auction, a 50-50 raffle, as well as dessert and cake walks.
