2 charged after home drug investigation in Hopkinsville

HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. (AP) — Authorities say two people have been arrested on multiple drug charges after a home investigation in Hopkinsville.

The Kentucky New Era (http://bit.ly/1e7PkuX ) reports 26-year-old Trevis Hightower and 23-year-old Rebecca Schultz were arrested early Friday morning after police found 12 grams of powder cocaine, a handgun, scales and other paraphernalia. Both were charged with first-degree possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Hightower was also charged with tampering with physical evidence and receiving stolen property.

It is unclear if either Hightower or Schultz has a lawyer.
