2 arrested in Madison Co. on sex abuse charges

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – Police in Berea say an investigation into sex abuse resulted in the arrest of two Berea men.

Officers say 67-year-old Randal Logston (above, left,) and 56-year-old James Powell, Jr. (above, right) had sexual contact with two minors under the age of 12.

Officers say the contact took place between June 2015 and May 2016 at two different houses on Reed Hill.

Logston was charged with sodomy, and sex abuse.  Powell was charged with possession of matter portraying a sexual performance of a minor, sexual abuse, sodomy, possession of marijuana, tampering with physical evidence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men were taken to the Madison Co. Detention Center.
