2 arrested in Williamsburg for manufacturing meth

WILLIAMSBURG, Ky. (WTVQ) – Williamsburg police arrested two people after they say they found a one-step meth lab in an apartment.

According to police, they were responding to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment on Cumberland Avenue on April 1 around 5:00 p.m.  When they arrived, they arrested 34-year-old Chris Broyles for reportedly assaulting his elderly mother.  Police say Broyles was on home incarceration with an ankle bracelet, awaiting sentencing for prior drug charges.

Investigators say while they were at the apartment, they discovered a one-step meth lab, along with chemicals and other equipment used to make meth.

Broyles was arrested along with 27-year old Tasha Stewart.
