2 arrested following barricade situation in Lexington, police report

The identities of the two suspects arrested following a barricade situation on Sunday evening have been released, according to the Lexington Police Department.

Police arrested 47-year-old Wilfredo Salazar and 34-year-old Juan Hernandez.

Salazar is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment and third-degree terroristic threatening, and Hernandez is charged with first-degree wanton endangerment.

Both are being held at the Fayette County Detention Center.

Two people have been arrested following a shooting investigation on Sunday evening, according to Lexington Police.

Lexington Police says officers were called to a home around 6:48 p.m. in the 1200 block of Crown Circle for a shooting with a victim on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they say shots were fired but no one was injured. Officers attempted to speak to the people inside of the residence. One suspect exited the home, but a second suspect refused and barricaded themselves inside, according to police.

The second suspect left the home and was taken into custody following the departments Emergency Response Unit being called out.

Names and charges will be released as that information becomes available.

Lexington Fire crews were dispatched just before 7 p.m. to the 1200 block of Crown Circle for a shooting with a victim.
