2 arrested after being found with drugs, guns in Rowan Co.
MOREHEAD, Ky. (WTVQ) – Kentucky State Police say a man and a woman are behind bars, after being found in a car with guns, drugs, and drug paraphernalia.
According to investigators from KSP, and the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, 46-year-old Robert H. McKenzie and 36-year-old Miranda N. Caudill were found in a vehicle on an abandoned portion of Freestone Road near the Farmers Community in Rowan County on Sunday at about 3:30 p.m.
As Troopers approached, they say they saw Caudill actively ingesting a controlled substance. Further investigation revealed two loaded pistols in the vehicle, as well as scales, a large amount of cash, and drug paraphernalia, according to police.
McKenzie was charged with trafficking, possession, and carrying a concealed weapon.
Caudill received charges of possession and carrying a concealed weapon, among other charges.
Both were taken to the Rowan County Detention Center.
