19-year-old arrested in connection to bomb threat at Georgetown hospital, more

GEORGETOWN, Ky. (WTVQ) — A 19-year-old man was arrested last week in connection to a bomb threat at Georgetown Community Hospital in July 2023, and similar incidents in Lexington.

Gabriel Frith is accused of texting a bomb threat to the hospital on July 6, 2023. The then-on-duty security guard was identified as a potential subject, leading Georgetown police to execute several search warrants for social media, phones and banking records.

Frith, 19, was identified as the man who texted the threat to the hospital, police said.

On Jan. 18, Frith was arrested on a terroristic threatening warrant.

He has charges pending in Lexington for “similar incidents,” police said.

Georgetown police, Lexington police and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives investigated this case.
