UPDATE: Funeral set Saturday for teen shooting victim

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The visitation and funeral for an 18-year-old shooting viocim who was a budding songwriter and music rapper is set for Saturday.
O.L. Hughes and Sons Mortuary has announced the visitation for Dominico Lyndell Cloyd is 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Unity Worship Center on Paris Pike with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department continue to investigate a what turned out to be a deadly shooting.
Shortly after 4 p.m. Saturday, January 23, police were dispatched to a call of shots-fired in the 700 block of North Upper Street. When officers arrived, a man with life-threatening injuries was located inside a vehicle.
On Friday, January 29, the 18-year-old male victim, Dominico Cloyd, was pronounced deceased by the Fayette County Coroner’s office.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) An 18-year-old shot Saturday afternoon near North Upper Street has died.
Fayette County Coroner Gary Ginn said Domino Cloyd was pronounced dead at UK Medical Center at 6:13 p.m. Thursday. He’d been taken there following the shooting Saturday afternoon at about 4 p.m.
The death from a gunshot wound has been ruled a homicide, Ginn said.
Cloyd graduated last year from Frederick Douglass High School in Lexington, according to the school district.

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington police says an 18-year-old was shot and is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries Saturday night.
Police say they were called out to Idaho Avenue and North Upper Street around 4 p.m.
The area was closed down for at least two hours while police investigated.
