18 Recruits Graduate from Lexington Police Training Academy
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Lexington Police Department will have 18 new faces after Thursday’s graduation of recruits from the Lexington Police Training Academy.
A ceremony was held at 11:00 a.m. at the Academy on the BCTC Newtown Campus on Newtown Pike.
A release from the Lexington Police Department describes the new graduate group as representing “a variety of backgrounds, hometowns and life experiences.”
Public Safety Commissioner Ronnie Bastin and Chief Mark Barnard made remarks at the graduation, which hosted Reverend C.B. Akins, Sr., from First Baptist Church Bracktown, as the guest speaker.
