LCSO: Five arrested in Laurel Co, 17-year-old found assaulted at party
LAUREL COUNTY, Ky. (WTVQ) -According to the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, three adults, and two juveniles are in custody after they say a 17-year-old boy was found beaten unconscious inside a home.
It happened just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday off Paris Karr Road.
Investigators say when deputies arrived they noticed a woman and a man outside of the home near a vehicle.
Deputies say the woman started to get aggressive with them when they smelled an odor of alcoholic beverages emitting from her.
They say when they walked inside the home, deputies found three adults, and two juveniles; ages 16 and 17 who were intoxicated.
The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office says when they found the individuals, they learned there was a party and found alcoholic beverages inside the home.
That’s when deputies say they found the 17-year-old boy in a bedroom unconscious and determined that he had been beaten.
They say the boy was taken to a nearby hospital, and then airlifted to a Louisville hospital where he is now on a ventilator with serious head trauma.
Deputies say text messages and videos were found describing the assault.
They say one of the juveniles arrested intentionally deleted one of those videos.
According to investigators, 18-year-old Brady Tyler Cook and 19-year-old John Tyler Masters are both charged with assault among other charges.
Deputies say 18-year-old Madison Hope Brown was arrested for disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
They say the 16-year-old is also charged with assault.
Deputies say the 17-year-old is charged with tampering with physical evidence, and alcohol intoxication.
