16-year-old arrested in connection with Lexington shooting

LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC36 NEWS NOW) -A 16-year-old is facing charges in connection with a shooting incident that occurred on Bainbridge Drive in Lexington last month.

On the night of April 26th, at approximately 10:35 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 400 block of Bainbridge Court. When they got there, officers found several buildings and vehicles had been struck by gunfire. Additionally, a female victim had arrived at a local hospital with a gunshot wound, described as non-life-threatening.

Following an investigation, police say a 16-year-old juvenile was charged on May 3 with several offenses, including Assault 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm), and Possession of a handgun by a Minor 1st Offense.
