15-year-old student arrested after alleged false bomb threat at Danville High School
DANVILLE, Ky. (WTVQ) — A 15-year-old Danville High School student was arrested Wednesday afternoon after allegedly making a false bomb threat against the school.
According to the Danville Police Department, around 2 p.m. the Danville 911 Center received a call of a bomb threat at the high school.
The caller said they had a bomb and placed it at the school, and then ended the call.
Danville police responded to the scene and worked with school staff and emergency personnel to investigate.
Officers say they determined it was a false alarm and that a student had made the threat.
Police found the 15-year-old suspect at the school and arrested him.
He was taken to the police department and is charged with terroristic threatening.
