14-year-old arrested in Warren Co. arson investigation

ALVATON, Ky. (WTVQ) – The Warren County Sheriff says deputies were able to trace a small fire and threats of arson back to a 14-year-old early Tuesday morning.

The Sheriff says deputies were called to Oak Ridge Way at around 12:30 a.m. on an arson threat complaint.

While they were on their way, the Sheriff says the Alvaton Fire Department received a call of a structure fire, also on Oak Ridge Way.

When they arrived, deputies say they discovered the front door of a home had been set on fire, and that the homeowners had put it out.

Deputies continued their investigation into the arson threat, which they say led them to another home on Oak Ridge Way, where they took the 14-year-old into custody.

The juvenile was charged with one count of arson, and four counts of wanton endangerment.

The teen was taken to the Warren County Juvenile Detention Center.
