13-year old boy shot in Lexington
LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police say a 13-year old boy was shot in the upper thigh in a park Monday afternoon.
Investigators say after the boy was shot, he walked home and told his mother what happened. Police say she rushed him to St. Joseph Hospital. He was later transferred to UK Hospital.
Police say there was no exit wound. It was unclear if the boy would have to have surgery. Police call his wound non-life threatening.
Investigators say the boy told them he was shot in Cardinal Valley Park on Cambridge Drive, but wouldn’t tell them who shot him or what led up to the shooting.
No arrests had been made. The case is still under investigation.
