11th annual Beer Cheese Festival to continue rain or shine

WINCHESTER, Ky. (WTVQ) – The 11th annual Beer Cheese Festival in Winchester is going on this weekend, rain or shine.

Rachel Alexander with Main Street Winchester says the event will take place downtown Saturday, June 8 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.

The event will include 13 professional beer cheese competitors. This year, attendees can buy beer cheese ‘bucks’ to allow you to sample the beer cheese. It’s $5 for 10 where each ‘buck’ gets you a sample.

“One of my favorite parts about the beer cheese festival is not only is it a fundraiser for Main Street Winchester but so many other community organizations like the Clark County Alumni, the homeless coalition also have fundraisers happening at the festival,” said Alexander.

Organizers say those wanting to compete can still do so by dropping off your sample between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. Saturday. Guidelines can be found HERE.
